Real Madrid have launched an investigation against a fan after he made a Nazi salute before a Champions League game against Benfica.
The Spanish club announced that it has turned to its disciplinary committee to "start the immediate removal procedure" against the mentioned fan.
The club's message states that "Real Madrid" condemns such gestures and expressions, which incite violence and hatred both in sports and in society.
The incident happened after "Real Madrid" forward Vinicius Jr. announced that during the first match in Lisbon, he was racially insulted by "Benfica" player Gianluca Prestian.
