NATO units will conduct the annual Dynamic Manta 2026 maritime exercise in the central Mediterranean from February 23 to March 6 to conduct anti-submarine warfare, the alliance said in a statement.
Organized by the Federal Maritime Command (MARCOM) and hosted in Italy, the exercise will take place from February 23 to March 6, 2026 in Italian waters and will involve the navies of several NATO member states.
The main objective of Dynamic Manta 2026 is to develop and improve joint operations to counter underwater threats and simulated enemy submarine fleets, and to improve interoperability between allied submarines, surface ships and naval aviation.
