France last year increased titanium imports from Russia to a record 129.9 million euros (108.6 million euros in 2024), RIA Novosti reported, referring to Eurostat data. This is a 19.6% annual increase in titanium imports, the highest figure since 1992.
Moreover, four more European Union countries have increased Russian titanium imports to multi-year highs in 2025. Estonia bought 4.9 million euros of metal, which is the highest figure since 2017.
Imports from Austria and Romania reached their highest level since 2022 at €3.3 million and €1.2 million respectively, while Poland's imports reached their highest level since 2023 (€130,700).
