The correspondent of RIA Novosti reported that before the tripartite talks on the issue of Ukraine between the representatives of Russia, the USA and Ukraine in Geneva, a noticeable increase in security measures has not yet been observed. On Monday morning, the city is in a normal mood. Two policemen are on duty at the exit of Kornavin Central Station.
High streets are also continuing to operate as normal, although more than one high-level negotiation is being held in the city. Along with the representatives of Russia, the United States and Ukraine, the participants of the Iran nuclear negotiations will also meet on Tuesday.
No additional police patrols or security vehicles are stationed in the central streets or in the area where the offices of large international organizations are located. The presence of law enforcement agencies has not been increased at the "President Wilson" and "InterContinental" hotels, where high-ranking guests often stay, although security officers are on duty outside.
Earlier, the diplomatic police of Geneva refused to tell "RIA Novosti" whether the security measures in the city were strengthened in connection with the negotiations on Ukraine.
