Cuba has always survived on foreign subsidies, but now they are gone. Rubio

Cuba has always survived thanks to foreign subsidies, but now they are gone, stated US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to the Secretary of State, the Cuban authorities seek to control all aspects of life and do not want the people to have any voice. He emphasized that despite the possibilities of the proposed reforms, "the regime is unable to understand or accept them," preferring to rule a "dying country" rather than allow it to prosper.

Rubio also noted that Cuba survives almost entirely on subsidies, first from the USSR and then from Hugo Chavez. Now, according to him, "for the first time, the government has no foreign subsidies".
