The artillery of the Israeli army opened fire on five border towns in the south of Lebanon, reports "Al Mayadin". Artillery shots were fired from the positions of Al-Bayada and Al-Malikiya heights. Artillery fire was reported from Aitarun, Blida, Beit Lif, Ramia and Yaroun.
Local authorities reported damage to several residential buildings, but no casualties. A statement from the municipality of Blida noted that artillery fire by occupation forces is hindering the reconstruction of residential areas and economic infrastructure destroyed during the 2024 conflict.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces said on the X social network that the artillery fire was aimed at the places where the suspected activities of members of the Shiite organization "Hezbollah" were found.
