New dietary standards will be implemented in kindergartens in Armenia from next year.
RA Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said this during the preliminary discussion of the draft law on the state budget of 2025 at the joint session of the NA standing committees, referring to the question of the possible restriction of unhealthy foods. "This year, we implemented a change in the kindergarten diet standards.
In January 2025, these new standards will go into effect.
Foods containing a lot of sugar have gone out, the types of juices have changed, and the amounts of sugar content have increased. A change has been made in bread products, the advantage will be given to bakery products made from whole grain wheat," said Avanesyan.
