Eight solar flares of the penultimate magnitude class (M) were recorded on February 4. This was reported to TASS by the Institute of Applied Geophysics (IFG).
A total of eight M-class solar flares have been recorded to date. The strongest flare occurred on February 4 at around 6:39 AM.
"On February 4, a 24-minute flare of M4.9 class was registered in sunspot group 4366 (N13E05)," the message states.
