Turkey is ready to host the US-Iran talks

Turkey is ready to accept negotiations between the United States and Iran on its territory, but does not impose its mediation on the parties, a Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the Axios portal reported that the US President's special representative Steve Wittkoff planned to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Istanbul on Friday to discuss Iran's nuclear program amid ongoing tensions between the countries.

Ynet portal reported on Tuesday that Wittkoff arrived in Israel to hold talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. At the same time, according to Axios journalist Barak Ravid, who referred to an Arab source, the US President Donald Trump's administration has accepted Tehran's request to move negotiations on Iran's nuclear program away from Turkey.

The talks are expected to take place on Friday in Oman.
