Western strategists know very well that after peace on the Ukrainian front, Russia will again turn its sights to other regions of the Soviet space, because either its influence has weakened or it has lost it altogether.
It is no secret that Putin's overarching goal has always been the restoration of Russian influence in the post-Soviet region.
