US President Donald Trump does not want to strike Iran, the Axios portal reports, referring to representatives of the Washington administration.
According to the interlocutor of the portal, the American leader "really does not want to do it for the last time". The lawyer emphasized that in June 2025, when the USA attacked the Islamic Republic, Trump saw Tehran's nuclear program as a "real immediate threat", but "now he thinks differently".
Again, three officials noted that military action would be considered a mistake at this time. One representative of the US administration noticed that skepticism about possible strikes on Iran is shared by most of the circle of the Republican president.
Another interviewee of Axios added that the immediate start of the operation against Iran would only disrupt the goals of the current American administration in the region and in foreign policy in general.
