The rally in support of Czech President Petr Pavel, organized by the "Million Moments for Democracy" civil movement, has started in the center of Prague.
People completely filled the square of the Old City.
Many of the participants of the protest action came to the capital from different parts of the country with one goal: to express their support for the president in the context of the political crisis caused by his conflict with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petr Matsinka.
So many people gathered that the police closed the entrances to the square and closed the Staromestska metro station to passengers. Trains pass there without stops.
The demonstrators, who could not fit in the Old City Square, were moved to Wenceslas Square.
There is also a large crowd there now.
Live broadcasting from the Old Town Square is carried out on a large screen and loudspeakers.
According to preliminary estimates of the organizers, 80,000 to 90,000 people gathered in both squares.
