The Russian side is in contact with its Armenian partners regarding the restoration of railway lines in the sections leading to the borders of Azerbaijan and Turkey. This was announced by the press spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, during the weekly briefing held on January 30.
"The Russian side is in contact with its Armenian partners, including through the economic bloc of the government. All requests received from Yerevan are promptly processed by relevant departments," the Russian diplomat said.
As for the "Trump track", according to him, Moscow confirms its readiness to study possible options for joining it, taking into account the unique experience of "Russian Railways".
"But first, it is probably worth getting acquainted with all the details of the implementation and operation of this initiative, because, as we understand, its development is still in its early stages. Our proposal to Yerevan to hold subject consultations with the participation of all interested departments remains in force," he concluded.
