According to the Azerbaijani fighter, the UFC's decision is unfair to Arman Tsarukyan

Number 9 in the UFC's lightweight ranking, Rafael Fizyev, addressed the confusion created in the top positions of the division and criticized the organization's ranking policy.

The reason for the discussion was Justin Gage's victory of the interim championship belt in the fight against Paddy Pimblett. Fiziev emphasized that this decision is unfair to Arman Tsarukyan, who is number one in the rating table.

In an interview with Sport24, answering the question about UFC's attitude towards Arman Tsarukyan and "forgiving" him, Fiziev stated:

"He has already won after the cancellation of the title fight. It seems that he now wrestles every week and then does something else. He didn't just beat Hooker, he crushed him," said the Azerbaijani.

Fiziev admitted that he does not understand the organization's approach, but noted that other factors are primary for the UFC.

"I don't understand all this, other things are important for the UFC. Pimblett is English, he was given a fight in the USA against an American. Paddy has a large army of fans, is charismatic and makes a lot of noise. However, from a sports point of view, it is unclear why we need ratings. The questions should be addressed to the UFC, and I am satisfied with everything," the fighter said.

Let us remind you that Tsarukyan's next wrestling match will take place on February 28 in Tempe (USA) within the framework of the RAF wrestling league, against the American Giorgio Pulas.
