The European Union has become a symbol of weakness because of its own mistakes. This opinion was expressed by Bloomberg agency analyst Hal Brands.
"This continent represented the highest ideas of world and integration since the end of the Cold War. However, in a stricter period, it has become a symbol of weakness," he wrote in the article.
At the same time, the author emphasized that this situation happened because of "his own decisions and mistakes". In his opinion, the EU has become dependent on the energy resources imported from Russia, China's economic development, and US security efforts.
He added that if Europe "cannot find its support", it will become the "toy" of these three countries.
