Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Turkey on January 30 and meet Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss regional and bilateral issues. It is expected that Fidan will address regional security, stability and prosperity, as well as strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, energy, transport and communication.
The total volume of trade between Turkey and Iran as of November 2025 was about 5 billion dollars, and the parties intend to increase it to 30 billion dollars in the long term. Turkey will confirm its position regarding military interventions in Iran and will emphasize that it is ready to contribute to the settlement of the current tension through dialogue.
In addition, Fidan will announce that Turkey supports a quick and peaceful solution to Iran's nuclear program and is ready to provide assistance if necessary.
