"Fact" daily writes:
The previous day, the President of Moldova, Maya Sandu, who was elected under, to put it mildly, questionable circumstances, cited Georgia as an example, and noted that "Armenia is becoming a target of the same strategy aimed at weakening sovereignty, influencing democratic elections and exploiting internal vulnerabilities." Sandu emphasized that "Moldova supports Armenia and its people, who are trying to resist this pressure". Who asked for his opinion is another topic, which we will address.
Let's remind that there are continuous "messages" coming from Europe about expressing some support against something, but in fact all of them have one goal: to protect their favored authorities and allow them to resort to any illegal means in the elections in order to be re-elected.
But, let's repeat, this is a separate topic, which we will discuss in detail in the near future. And yesterday, in the "track" of all this, Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nikol Pashinyan's cabinet, "shined" at the PACE. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Armenia's membership in the Council of Europe, he could not think of anything better than... simply repeating government propaganda narratives and openly lying. For example, Ararat Mirzoyan began to threaten those in the PACE meeting hall with some "bo-bo" that "the enemies of freedom are not sleeping... they are ready to invest millions of dollars in propaganda machines and illegal interference schemes".
Stop! What millions, what schemes, what "enemies of freedom"? What "destruction of democracy"? This is not a pre-election meeting of the Communist Party of Ukraine, and Ararat Mirzoyan is not speaking as a cigarette butt, but as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. What is it called irresponsibility, political blackmail, or what to make such naked accusations "in the air" without facts, without justification? And who is speaking? the high-ranking representative of the government with dozens of political prisoners? What kind of "democracy" if people are imprisoned for speaking? In other words, Ararat Mirzoyan, by describing some imaginary dangers and threats, was just trying to justify the mass repressions, persecutions and persecutions by the government he represented against political opponents, dissidents and, most obviously, against the National Church and clergy, also against national values.
And what imaginary forces are threatening? No, everyone understands, and individual EU officials "hint" that Russia is threatening. But Ararat Mirzoyan did not dare to say such a thing directly. Just vague phrases... And, in general, is the representative of the KP government talking about "getting millions"? After all, Pashinyan's government went and asked the EU and received 15 million euros of support to fight against "external interventions", "hybrid threats".
And in fact, for "whatever they want to do" during the elections. Ararat Mirzoyan's PACE speech, by and large, reflected his and his leader Nikol Pashinyan's fears, or rather, the terror that grips them when they realize that they may be deprived of power in the upcoming elections. They "play" on Europe's anti-Russian sentiment, in Strasbourg and Brussels they position themselves as personal and sworn enemies of Russia and Putin, they extort money on that basis, but... they run to Moscow at the first call.
And in Europe, they listen calmly, because it is to their advantage. In other words, maybe they know that it's all a lie, but, well, it's their lie, it's their desired lie, so they show that they believe... Even in such an obvious lie as the phrase "there is no persecution of the clergy".
