A substance similar to the "hashish oil" drug was found in the shipment imported from the USA to Armenia


The State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia continues its fight against drug smuggling and illegal circulation. The other day, the anti-smuggling department of the SRC received information that the RA citizen S.P. will smuggle narcotics into the Republic of Armenia. the received data established control over the goods imported to Armenia.

The date of entry of the imported courier consignment into the territory of RA and the name of the cargo transport organization were found out.

The employees of SRC Anti-Smuggling and Customs Service and Control Departments of Foreign Economic Activities, as well as the NSS, jointly inspected the international courier consignment imported from the USA to Armenia through "Trans Shipping" LLC. In Arakani, in addition to personal items, a plastic container was found, which was filled with 330 grams of "hashish oil" type of narcotic-like, yellow mass.

A decision was made to implement the operative-intelligence measures "Acquisition of operational information" and "Controlled supply and purchase". As a result of the urgent operative-intelligence measures taken by the employees of the operational intelligence department of the SRC anti-smuggling department of the main department of economic security and anti-corruption of the RA NSS, Avan Narekatsi of Yerevan RA citizens S.P. and M.A. were arrested near one of the district's buildings on reasonable suspicion of drug smuggling and transferred to the State Anti-Smuggling Department.

The latter were submitted to the Main Department of Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the RA Investigative Committee, where the citizens were arrested within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated under Articles 393 and 399 of the RA Criminal Code. in order to obtain permission to conduct searches at addresses.

Searches were carried out based on relevant decisions.
