Huge pressure is being exerted on Ukraine to withdraw its armed forces from the Donbas territories under its control, reports the Financial Times newspaper, citing its sources.
"Ukrainians are under enormous pressure at that very moment," the newspaper quoted the source as saying, presenting the context as the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass.
The newspaper notes that the United States believes that Kiev should leave Donbas to settle the conflict, but Ukraine agrees to discuss the issue of the territories only on the condition that it receives security guarantees from Washington.
