Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy. After the end of the conflict in Ukraine, the dialogue with Russia will resume

Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani believes that after the end of the conflict in Ukraine, a way will be found to restore dialogue with Russia.

As he stated on Radio1 radio station, "when the conflict ends, there will be an opportunity to hold a dialogue." The minister noted that the negotiations will in any case be conducted by representatives of the EU leadership, including Kaya Callas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Tajani also repeated the idea that Europe "is not at war with Russia".

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated that "neither Moscow nor Washington will ever discuss any issue with the head of the diplomatic service of the European Union", and that the entire system of international relations suffers due to the degradation of political figures in power in Europe.
