The Foreign Ministers of Turkey and France will discuss the issue of Ukraine on January 27

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is going to discuss with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barro the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and Ankara's possible participation in its settlement, as well as Syria, Gaza and relations with the EU.

As the Turkish Foreign Ministry source told TASS, the French Foreign Minister's visit to the republic is scheduled for January 27.
"During the negotiations with his French counterpart, Minister Fidan is going to emphasize that diplomatic efforts should be continued in order to end the Russian-Ukrainian war and achieve a just and stable peace.

"Turkey is ready to make any possible contribution to the peace process," said the source.

The ministers will also discuss the situation in Gaza. Fidan is going to note that "the transition to the second phase of the peace plan in Gaza and the decision of the mechanisms in the implementation of which Turkey will be involved are important steps."
