Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher is no longer bedridden, but cannot walk. Daily Mail:

Michael Schumacher, who suffered a head injury while skiing in the French Alps more than 12 years ago, is no longer bedridden, the Daily Mail reports. However, Schumacher cannot walk.

His transportation is carried out by nurses and doctors in a wheelchair specially designed for people with disabilities in a private house.

No photographs of his critical condition have been released, despite former employees (including the racer's bodyguard) who were later convicted of attempting to publish his photographs.

In a documentary released in 2021, Schumacher's wife and son noted that he was unable to move on his own and fully communicate with people.

The German has become one of the sport's most iconic figures, winning seven Formula 1 championships with Benetton and Ferrari.
