Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused Ukraine of openly interfering in the upcoming parliamentary elections and trying to change the country's government.
"Ukrainians went on the offensive. They threaten and openly interfere in the Hungarian elections. Their goal is to get funding and to join the European Union as soon as possible," Orban wrote on the Facebook social network.
"As a member of the European Union, Hungary has the right to say "no". Our patriotic government clearly declares "no". We don't want the money of Hungarian families to be transferred to Ukraine, and we don't want Hungary to get involved in the war," the prime minister said.
He confirmed that Hungary will not participate in the financing of Ukraine, despite the pressure attempts.
"We are sending a clear signal to Brussels and Kiev: we will not pay," concluded Orban.
