Iran has announced that it will not negotiate over its missile program

Iran is not going to negotiate on its conventional weapons, including its missile program. A high-ranking Iranian official announced this to journalists in New York.

"We are not going to negotiate on any issue related to conventional weapons, including missiles. This is the issue in which we cannot take risks," he said.

The official emphasized that Tehran is ready to discuss the conditions that would guarantee the Islamic Republic the right to a peaceful atom in compliance with the provisions of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). In addition, the goal of the negotiations should be "stopping terrorism in the form of unilateral sanctions".

"We do not want to enter into negotiations that are doomed to failure and can be used as a new pretext for another war," he added.
