Kiev hopes to attract one billion dollars worth of investment in Ukraine's defense industry

In 2026, Kiev hopes to attract more than a billion dollars of investments in the defense industry of Ukraine, reports Alexander Kamishin, adviser on strategic issues of Vladimir Zelensky.

"Last year, 105 million dollars were invested in our defense industry. The first agreement of this year is 700 million dollars, which gives us hope that this year we will have investments of more than a billion dollars in our defense sector," Kamishin said during an interview with the "Novosti.LIVE" periodical.

Vladimir Zelensky announced in June 2025 that Ukraine intends to open military equipment production lines in a number of European countries.

The Ukrainian "Public" TV station clarified that it refers to Denmark, Norway, Germany, Great Britain and Lithuania.
