Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that the country's authorities refuse to participate in the "Peace Council" of Gaza, the press service of the kingdom's government reported.
According to the press service, "Regarding the Gaza Peace Council, President Sanchez informed that the Spanish government has decided not to participate." According to the Prime Minister, this position reflects Madrid's dedication to the multilateral order, international law and the UN system.
"It should not be forgotten that the future of Palestine should be decided by the Palestinians as a whole, and the future of its peaceful and safe coexistence with Israel should be decided primarily by Israel and Palestine, within the framework of the bilateral process, which envisages the two-state solution," Sanchez said.
