Trump did not rule out that without an agreement, Ukraine could lose even more territories

US President Donald Trump believes that in the absence of agreements on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, the Russian side can expand its control over the territories.

"I thought that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Ukraine as a whole. Maybe it is so. However, he will not enter there unless we reach a deal," said Trump. He answered journalists' questions on his plane from Zurich to Washington after participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The American leader has repeatedly stated that the Ukrainian authorities should have agreed to the agreements on the settlement of the conflict earlier. In particular, while answering reporters' questions at the White House in December, Trump noted that the situation is shaping up in a way that is not favorable for the Kiev authorities.
