Vance: The US should have rights to Greenland's resources

The US ensures the security of Greenland, therefore, it should have the right to the island's natural resources. This was announced by US Vice President Jay D. Vance in an interview with the Newsmax TV channel.

"First of all, we want to share in the wealth of this mineral and resource rich area that we are protecting," he said.

According to Vance, the security of Greenland is ensured not by Denmark, but by the "power of the USA".

"This is important from the point of view of national security. Ask yourself what would happen if another country launched an intercontinental ballistic missile in the direction of the United States. "Without control over the Arctic, our entire anti-missile defense system will become destabilized," he said.

Vance added that US President Donald Trump is "working on the details of the deal on Greenland".
