Venezuela will receive all the proceeds from its first oil sale to the United States, as its government cooperates with the White House, Semafor reported, citing an unnamed Trump administration official.
Earlier on Thursday, Reuters, citing informed sources, reported that the American oil company Valero Energy bought the first batch of Venezuelan crude oil within the framework of the agreement signed between Washington and Caracas.
Presidential Commissioner Delsey Rodriguez said on Wednesday that Venezuela received $300 million of the "first $500 million" from oil sales, but did not specify the source of the funds or the export destination through which the oil revenues were received.
