The Economist magazine published the cover of its new issue, where Trump is sitting on a polar bear

Following US President Donald Trump's speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he criticized Europe, the cover of the new issue of The Economist featured him stripped to the waist and sitting on a polar bear.

"In the past decades, American defense valued the Europeans. Instead of resisting the use of hard power, they focused on the good life. Those days are over. European leaders must try to slow down the disintegration of the transatlantic alliance, but they must also prepare for the day when NATO no longer exists," the publication noted.

Earlier, in his speech at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, US President Donald Trump criticized Europe, saying that it is moving in the wrong direction, and called the US the economic engine of the planet.

As Politico reported, after Trump's speech in Davos, a European diplomat stated that the American dream of Europe is dead.
