"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"The other day, we learned that the Episcopal meeting postponed by the Catholicos of All Armenians will take place in St. Pölten, Austria, on February 16-19.
This decision has put the authorities in a bad position, according to some reports, they are looking for ways to prevent the implementation of the meeting, as it happened at the end of last year, when the Episcopal meeting convened on December 10-12, which was supposed to discuss the situation and the latest developments around the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, more specifically, the question of depriving ten bishops of diocesan leadership, was postponed.
The Mother See announced that the Episcopal meeting is temporarily postponed due to repression. We also received information that pressure was exerted through the NSS, they even threatened His Holiness that if the meeting was held, the diocesan leaders who had arrived in Armenia would no longer be able to return to their dioceses.
In those days, we also wrote that they prevented the entry of the head of the Armenian Diocese into Armenia by sending him back from Bagratashen. Now new pressures have started. Yesterday, Pashinyan's council of rulers called to cancel the Episcopal meeting.
They are looking for ways to prevent the departure of clergymen from Armenia.
