The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, called false the information that it is necessary to invest 1 billion dollars in order to join the "Peace Council" related to the Gaza Strip, reports BelTA.
The head of state commented on the information during a meeting with journalists in Minsk. Media representatives asked him about the real conditions for joining the Peace Council and wondered if the rumors about the investment of 1 billion dollars were true.
"Those sick people (those who talk and write about the $1 billion investment — ed.) have made a mistake again. You just have to read the document. We don't need money," Lukashenko said.
