"They said we will follow your instructions, we are not insisting on a strike," said one American official.
According to Axios, the US is in close contact with Israel and is actively consulting on possible steps taken by Washington regarding Iran.
At the same time, as the officials noted, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is deliberately creating the impression in the eyes of US President Donald Trump that he is not putting pressure on Washington and is not seeking a force scenario, despite his own position.
