"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"The drivers woke up yesterday and saw that the price of liquid gas has increased by 30-40 drams. A shortage of liquefied gas was observed at filling stations until the evening.
"Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper tried to make clarifications about the increase in the price of liquid gas and the deficit yesterday by asking questions to Gegham Gevorgyan, the chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Competition and Consumer Interests. We were interested in the reason for the price increase and the competitive problems of the market. One of the latter's reasons for the price increase was the fact that Lars was closed.
By the end of yesterday, the price of liquid gas gradually increased to 250 drams. The drivers alerted "Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper that if this continues, a deficit will be created, thanks to which Azerbaijani gasoline will be sold even easier and faster.
Experts claim that it is possible that an artificial deficit is being created so that Azerbaijani "political gasoline" can be sold in the name of peace. It should be noted that RA mainly imports liquefied gas from Russia, partly also from Iran and Iraq."
