"Regarding the statement made during the press conference called by Khalil Shirgholami, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, regarding the protest actions being carried out in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia, we inform you that within the framework of the provisions of the "Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations" as well as other international and bilateral obligations, the Republic of Armenia ensures the security of all diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Armenia, including the Embassy of the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran, and guarantees the necessary for their normal operation. conditions.
There is a permanent working relationship with the Embassy of the Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia.
It should also be noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs served all the mentioned gatherings in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation, the safety of both the participants of the gatherings and the embassy building was ensured.
It should also be noted that during one of the gatherings, one of the participants was subjected to administrative arrest for committing an act stipulated by Article 182 of the RA Code on Administrative Offenses (failing to comply with the legal request of a police officer).
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to serve peaceful gatherings in accordance with the law.
