China has opposed US interference in Iran's affairs

The Chinese authorities are against possible US interference in Iran's internal affairs, said Mao Ning, the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

"We are consistently against US interference in the internal politics of other states," he said during a briefing, commenting on the prospects of US authorities using military force against the Islamic Republic.

As the official representative explained, Beijing supports Tehran's efforts to ensure national stability.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs of 25 percent on all countries cooperating with Iran.

This followed a wave of protests in the Islamic Republic, which blamed the United States and Israel for orchestrating the unrest. The American leader did not rule out the use of force against Tehran.
