CBS. The US has no intention of interfering with oil supplies from Mexico to Cuba

The Trump administration currently has no intention of blocking oil supplies from Mexico to Cuba, CBS reports, citing US officials. According to the publication, the current policy of the Washington administration is to "allow Mexico to continue supplying oil" to the Cuban side.

According to the TV channel, Mexico has become the main supplier of oil to Cuba after the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by the US authorities.

One of the channel's sources stated that "the United States is not trying to provoke the collapse of the Cuban government, but wants to negotiate with Havana" about its departure from the current political system. On January 11, Trump announced that Cuba would no longer receive oil and money from Venezuela.
