US President Donald Trump is not considering sending American troops to Iran, reports CNN. According to its information, an unnamed high-ranking official of the US administration stated that US ground operations in Iran are not among the options that the American leader is considering.
At the same time, the White House is discussing some options for using force against Tehran, but Washington fears that possible strikes against the Islamic Republic may backfire, in particular by uniting the country's population or leading to a military response by Iran.
