We express our support to the citizens of Iran. Prime Minister of Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed hope that the government will change in Iran. After that, he said, the Jewish state and the Islamic Republic will be able to become partners.

"We express our support to the heroic and brave citizens of Iran, and after the fall of the regime, we will work together to do good deeds for the benefit of both peoples," Netanyahu said during the government session.

"We all hope that the people of Iran will soon be freed from the yoke of dictatorship," Netanyahu added. "And when that day comes, Israel and Iran will once again be faithful partners in building a future of prosperity and peace."

Protests began in Iran at the end of December due to the devaluation of the national currency and the increase in prices. Protesters are demanding regime change and the reinstatement of Reza Pahlavi, the son of the ousted shah in 1979. According to the human rights organization "Iranian Human Rights" operating in Norway, at least 192 people were killed during the riots.
