US President Donald Trump admitted that for US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was born in a family of Cuban immigrants, the operation in Venezuela was an act of revenge. In an interview with Fox News, Trump noted that Rubio "knows Cuba well" and stated that the island-state is "totally dependent on Venezuela financially and for oil."
Then the presenter assumed that the action in Venezuela could be "revenge by Marco".
"Maybe that's how it happened," answered Trump.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced earlier that 32 Cubans were killed while carrying out combat missions as a result of US operations to kidnap Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
