Filippo: "Coalition of Volunteers" will not send troops to Ukraine

Florian Filippo, president of the French "Patriots" party, said that with the exception of the United Kingdom, no country in the Western "coalition of volunteers" would risk sending its troops to Ukraine.

"The reality is that no country wants to do this except Great Britain (Germany, the US and Italy made this clear yesterday), because everyone knows that this will inevitably lead to war against Russia," Filippo X wrote.

On January 6, after the meeting of the "coalition of volunteers", French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Vladimir Zelensky signed a declaration on the intention to deploy a multilateral military force to Ukraine after the end of the conflict.

Russia is against the presence of NATO troops in Ukraine. During a press conference held in December 2025, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Moscow's position against the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine is consistent and well-known.
