Colombian President Gustavo Petro has stated that US President Donald Trump should award him medals for the intensified fight against the export of cocaine to the US, instead of making threats. He wrote about this in X.
Petro called it "political irrationality" that Washington, instead of expressing gratitude for the fight against drug trafficking, during which Colombia sacrificed hundreds of its soldiers and police, preventing the export of cocaine around the world, including the United States, continues to accuse the Colombian leader of inaction.
