The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament will hold a meeting on Tuesday with the participation of Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løcke Rasmussen and Defense Minister Trolls Lund Poulsen on the topic of "the kingdom's relations with the United States," the Danish Foreign Ministry announced.

In response, Denmark's ambassador to Washington, Jesper Møller Sørensen, reaffirmed that Denmark and the United States are close allies. He emphasized that Copenhagen expects full respect of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark.
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen, commenting on the photo, called it disrespectful, but emphasized that there is no reason to panic.
