Lithuania is ready to send up to 150 soldiers to Ukraine within the framework of security guarantees

Lithuania is ready to send up to 150 soldiers, weapons and military equipment to Ukraine within the framework of its security guarantees, Asta Skysgiritte, adviser to the president of the Baltic republic, announced on the air of the "Zhinu Radias" radio station.

"We support the longest possible guarantees for Ukraine and are ready to participate with our troops," he said. "After the establishment of peace, Lithuania is ready to send up to 150 soldiers with weapons and necessary military equipment to Ukraine."

According to the adviser, the West is discussing the model of providing security guarantees to Kiev for a period of 15-30 years.

Skysgirite reminded that Vilnius has committed to provide military aid to Ukraine in the amount equivalent to 0.25% of Lithuania's gross domestic product. "We remain faithful to this commitment," Skysgirite said.
