After the US attack, the Venezuelan authorities announced the mobilization of the country's armed forces and introduced martial law for the employees of the oil industry and other sectors, writes RIA Novosti.
"It is ordered to immediately mobilize the national armed forces throughout the country, while using existing national forces to repel external aggression... Militarization of state infrastructure, the oil industry and other important state industries. The staff of such institutions will be temporarily under martial law," the decree published on the portal of legal documents states.
The decree also mandates strengthening patrol services and security at the country's land, air and sea borders.
