Azerbaijani airlines have paid about 400,000 euros to Armenia to use the country's airspace in 2025.
This was reported by the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Armenia in response to Sputnik Armenia's inquiry. They transferred 396,282 euros to the "Armenia Aviation" company in exchange for aeronautical services in the airspace of Armenia between January 1 and November 30, 2025.
Another 3.4 million euros were transferred to Armenia by Turkish companies in exchange for aeronautical services.
It should be noted that for flights to and from Nakhichevan in 2023, the Azerbaijani airlines paid Armenia about 90,000 euros.
Later, they started to use the Armenian airspace for flights to third countries as well.
Let's add that in response to the inquiry, the RA Civil Aviation Committee also informed that the transfer of the mentioned amounts was carried out through the central office of highway charges of the "Eurocontrol" organization, in accordance with the established procedure.
