US President Donald Trump announced that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin expressed Moscow's readiness to help restore Ukraine if the crisis is settled.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelensky in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, Trump responded positively to the question of whether Russia is ready to participate in the restoration of Ukraine.
"They will help, Russia will help. Russia wants Ukraine to succeed," the head of the White House said.
"President Putin has been very generous in helping Ukraine succeed, including providing very low-cost energy, electricity and other things," Trump said, adding that his Dec. 28 phone call with Putin "did a lot of good."
