China will test strikes against land targets as part of military exercises around Taiwan

People's Liberation Army forces will study the practice of conducting maneuver strikes against ground targets using fighter jets and drones as part of military exercises around Taiwan, the People's Liberation Army's Eastern Area Combat Command said on Monday.

The People's Republic of China (PRC) Army (PRC) previously announced that it will conduct combat command exercises called "Justice Mission 2025" in the vicinity of Taiwan on Tuesday, in which the ground and missile forces, the navy and the Air Force of the People's Liberation Army's Eastern Zone Combat Command will participate.

"On December 29, the Eastern Combatant Command of the People's Republic of China will send fighter jets, bombers and drones to the waters and airspace of the central part of the Taiwan Strait to practice strikes against maneuvering land targets," the official WeChat account of the Eastern Combatant Command said.

The command zone reported that exercises using aircraft will be held in coordination with long-range missile strikes.
