Foreign Ministers of Iran and Qatar discussed important regional issues

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, during which the parties exchanged ideas on important regional issues, IRNA reported.

The ministers expressed concern about the situation in Palestine and Lebanon, with the Israeli regime's violations of the cease-fire agreements, as well as the continued attacks on Gaza and Lebanon and the targeting of civilians.

They emphasized the need for the international community to put pressure on Israel to fully fulfill its obligations and stop the policy of genocide, occupation and expansionism.

Araghchi and Al Thani also discussed the latest developments in Yemen, stressing the importance of preserving the country's territorial integrity and unity.

In recent days, the forces of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), supported by the UAE, have managed to gain control over most of Yemen's southern provinces.

The armed group has stated that the purpose of their raids is to drive out extremists and prevent smuggling operations.
