US President Donald Trump announced on December 25 that the US armed forces struck the positions of the Islamic State terrorist group in Nigeria.
"Tonight, at my direction as Commander-in-Chief, the United States delivered a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS militants in northwestern Nigeria, who have brutally killed mostly innocent Christians on a scale not seen in years, if not centuries.
I have warned these terrorists in the past that if they do not stop killing Christians, they will pay a heavy price, and tonight it happened," the Washington chief of staff wrote on Truth Social.
